Sharlene J. Donovan, COL (Ret.), USA

General John H. Tilelli, Jr., USA(Ret), Chairman of Cypress International, is proud to announce that retired Army Colonel Sharlene J. Donovan will join Cypress International and assume the duties of Director of Training, SOF and Army Innovation Programs, effective 1 December 2017. “Sharlene comes to us with nearly 27 years of experience in defense acquisition leadership roles in aviation, training, acquisition, special operations, and combat theater assignments. Her demonstrated expertise in the disciplines of program management, joint operations, leadership, budget and training will be an excellent addition to the Cypress team.”

While on active duty, COL Donovan served as the Army’s Deputy Director of Investments in the Army Budget Office, Director for ASA(ALT) Forward and as Strategic Advisor to the FORSCOM Commander.  Prior to that she was the Project Manager for Instrumentation, Targets and Threat Simulators (PM ITTS) and Chief of Staff at PEO STRI in Orlando, FL.  She also served on the Joint Staff as the J8 Capabilities and Acquisition Division Branch Chief for Strategic and Tactical Programs, and as Branch Chief for Contingency Operations Budget in the J8 Programming, Budget, and Analysis Division.  Prior to this assignment she served as Product Manager for MH-60 Special Operations Aircraft and as an Acquisition Corps Assignments Officer. In addition to these, COL Donovan has served in a variety of assignments as Assistant Program Manager, Special Operations Aviation Combat Mission Simulators (160th SOAR(A)), Assistant TRADOC System Manger-JSTARS, GUARDRAIL Instructor Pilot, HUNTER UAV Company Commander, Joint UAV Detachment Commander.  She also served as the 4500th JSTARS Squadron Executive Officer during Operation Joint Endeavor.
